1.What is WPC Co-extruded Foam Board?
It is a premium composite material featuring a 3-layer structure: a high-density, non-foamed WPC surface on both sides and a foamed WPC core in the middle. This "sandwich" construction, produced through advanced co-extrusion technology, provides a much harder and glossier surface than standard Celuka boards.
2.What are the main components of your WPC boards?
Our boards are composed of PVC resin, natural wood fiber (typically 5%-10%), and essential additives. This blend combines the durability of plastic with the natural look and screw-holding power of wood.
3.What is the difference between WPC and PVC foam boards?
While both are waterproof, WPC boards are tougher and more rigid due to the wood fiber content. WPC offers superior screw-holding strength and better weather resistance, making it ideal for heavy-duty furniture and certain outdoor applications where pure PVC might be too soft.
4.Is the WPC co-extruded board fully waterproof?
Yes, it is 100% waterproof. It does not absorb moisture, swell, or rot, making it an excellent replacement for plywood or MDF in humid areas like bathrooms and kitchens.
5.What is the fire rating of your boards?
Our WPC co-extruded foam boards typically reach Class B1 flame retardant status. They are self-extinguishing and do not support combustion, providing enhanced safety for interior projects.
6.Can it withstand outdoor UV exposure?
The co-extruded surface layer provides significantly better UV resistance and weatherability than standard foam boards. For long-term outdoor use, we can add specialized UV-stabilizers to further prevent yellowing or embrittlement.
7.How is the screw-holding capacity compared to plywood?
Due to the wood fiber reinforcement and the hard co-extruded "skin," our WPC boards offer excellent screw-holding power, allowing for repeated assembly of hinges and fasteners without stripping.
8.What are the primary applications for this board?
It is widely used for modular kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, wall paneling, office furniture, advertising signage, and even lining for commercial vehicles and marine interiors.
9.Can I process WPC boards with standard woodworking tools?
Absolutely. You can saw, drill, rout, nail, and sand WPC boards just like natural wood or MDF. No specialized equipment is required for basic fabrication.
10.Is the surface suitable for painting or laminating?
Yes. The smooth, hard co-extruded surface is ideal for high-quality painting, HPL (High Pressure Laminate) bonding, or PVC film lamination to achieve various decorative finishes.
11.What sizes and thicknesses do you offer?
Our standard size is 1220x2440mm (4x8ft). Thicknesses typically range from 5mm to 30mm, with the most popular sizes being 12mm, 15mm, and 18mm.
12.Can you customize the density?
Yes, we can adjust the density (ranging from 0.45 to 0.80 g/cm³) based on your specific application requirements to balance weight and strength.
13.Do you provide free samples for quality testing?
Yes, we offer free A4-sized samples for quality evaluation. International shipping costs are usually covered by the buyer but can be deducted from the first bulk order.
14.What certifications do your products have?
Our factory is ISO 9001 certified, and our boards meet SGS, CE, and RoHS standards, ensuring they are free from lead and formaldehyde.
15.How do you pack the boards for international shipping?
We offer several options: PE bags (most common), carton boxes, or wooden pallets for extra protection during sea freight.
16.What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard MOQ is 1000 sheets per thickness. However, for trial orders, we can discuss flexible quantities if we have stock available.
17.Why should I choose your WPC co-extruded board over cheaper alternatives?
Cheaper boards often use lower-grade recycled materials or have thinner co-extruded skins, leading to warping or surface cracking. Our boards focus on quality consistency and surface hardness, ensuring your final furniture products have a longer lifespan and fewer customer complaints.
