Acrylic Sheets are well-known and a popular plastic. Acrylic sheets are also known as Arcylic glass, PMMA, and Lucite sheets. Acrylic is the most transparent plastic in the plastics industry. It is the popular and easily available material for creating signs, walls, displays, boxes, stands, glass substitutes, tables, sanitary wares, and safeguards.
Acrylic sheet is widely used as a replacement for glass. In terms of lightweight, transparency, durability, safety, fabrication, acrylic is a more reliable material compared with glass because it is shatterproof against breakage. Acrylic sheets are available in more than 40 colours and 10 different thicknesses. Besides, finishes, and textures are available, which make it always our customers' favorite choice in their designs and projects throughout the years.

1.What's the difference between cast acrylic sheet and extruded acrylic sheet?
Cast acrylic boasts higher raw material purity, superior light transmission and outstanding weather resistance, plus excellent cutting and polishing performance. It is ideal for high-end projects that demand high mechanical strength and ultra-high clarity, such as large aquariums, optical lenses, long-term outdoor signage and luxury jewelry display cases.
Extruded acrylic features stable dimensional tolerance, lower production cost and high manufacturing efficiency. It fits cost-sensitive indoor applications with high precision requirements, including advertising light boxes, vacuum forming letters, interior decorative panels and general craftwork.
2.What is the light transmittance of your acrylic sheets?
Our clear transparent acrylic sheets achieve a light transmittance of 92%-93%, outperforming standard glass. For colored acrylic sheets, light transmittance ranges from 30% to 85%, varying based on color pigment and sheet thickness.
3.What temperature range can acrylic sheets withstand?
The safe long-term operating temperature ranges from -40ºC to 70ºC. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 80ºC will soften and deform the sheet, so acrylic is not recommended for high-temperature industrial environments.
4.Are acrylic sheets scratch-resistant and impact-resistant?
Standard acrylic has basic anti-scratch performance. We also supply anti-scratch coated acrylic with upgraded surface hardness for extra protection.
In terms of impact resistance, acrylic is 6-8 times tougher than ordinary glass. It resists shattering, making it safer for commercial and daily use.
5.Will acrylic sheets bend or warp during use?
Premium cast acrylic delivers superior flatness and barely warps under normal service conditions. Minor deformation may occur due to improper installation, prolonged high-temperature exposure or uneven surface stress.
6.Can acrylic sheets resist chemical corrosion?
Acrylic performs well against common household chemicals, including detergents, soap, weak acids and weak alkalis.
However, it cannot withstand organic solvents (alcohol, acetone, banana oil) or strong acid/alkali solutions, which will cause surface cracking, discoloration and material dissolution. Custom special-formula acrylic is available for special scenarios like perfume display stands.
7.Do your acrylic sheets contain formaldehyde or other toxic substances?
Our pure PMMA acrylic sheets are free of formaldehyde, benzene and heavy metals, with zero toxic ingredients. They fully meet global environmental standards and are safe for indoor decoration and children's product manufacturing.
8.Is acrylic safe for direct food contact?
We provide food-grade acrylic sheets certified for food contact safety standards, suitable for cake display cabinets, food serving trays, dessert display racks and other catering applications. Standard industrial-grade acrylic is not approved for direct food contact.
9.What application scenarios are your acrylic sheets suitable for?
Our acrylic sheets have wide-ranging applications:
Commercial display: Display stands, brand signages
Architectural decoration: Partition walls, ceiling panels, light-transmitting decorative panels
Advertising production: Light boxes, outdoor billboards
Daily consumer goods: Photo frames, storage boxes
Industrial manufacturing: Equipment protective covers, safety baffles
Custom handmade crafts
10.Can acrylic sheets be used outdoors?
Yes. We offer dedicated outdoor weather-resistant acrylic sheets with anti-UV, waterproof and anti-aging properties, perfect for outdoor billboards, exterior wall decorations and open-air display facilities. Regular acrylic sheets are only suggested for indoor use.
11.Are acrylic sheets flame retardant and self-extinguishing?
Standard acrylic is combustible thermoplastic without inherent flame retardancy or self-extinguishing properties. It ignites under high heat or open flame and keeps burning after removing the ignition source.
We supply specially treated flame-retardant acrylic reaching UL 94 V-0 rating, which features reliable self-extinguishing performance.
12.Can acrylic sheets be processed via cutting, bending and printing?
Fully processable. Our acrylic supports laser cutting, CNC engraving, hot bending, drilling, screen printing, UV printing and mirror polishing. We provide one-stop custom processing services based on customers' technical drawings and physical samples.
13.Is acrylic sheet recyclable?
Yes. PMMA acrylic is 100% recyclable. Waste acrylic scraps can be re-melted and reprocessed into new raw materials, complying with eco-friendly green manufacturing standards.
14.What advantages does acrylic have compared with glass?
Compared with glass, acrylic is lighter in weight, offers equivalent high transparency, and features far better impact resistance and structural strength.
15.Can you customize sheet sizes and shapes?
Absolutely. We offer full customization of sheet dimensions and special shapes per customer requirements.
16.Is custom color available for acrylic sheets?
Yes. We can match custom colors against physical color samples or Pantone color codes to achieve the closest color consistency as requested.
17.How much acrylic can be loaded into one shipping container?
Normally, a 20ft container can hold around 15 tons of acrylic sheets, while a 40ft container holds approximately 27 tons. The exact loading quantity varies depending on sheet thickness and finished dimensions.
18. What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our MOQ is 20 pieces per thickness per color.
